SAFER HANDLING OF MEDICATION

Health and Social Care workers often manage medicines on behalf of people using their services. Providers must promote the safe and effective use of medicines. This includes handling and administering medicines. Failing to do this poses real risks to people who may be vulnerable.

This course will improve care workers’ confidence when dealing with residents and service users and their medication by considering best practice and current regulations and legislation.

The course will develop the teaching methods and presentation skills to successfully deliver training sessions in-house.
