WHAT WE
OFFER

Safeguarding

Prevent

The Prevent Duty became law back in 2015 and places a duty on all settings to have due regard to preventing people being drawn into terrorism. In order to protect children and vulnerable adults you must be alert to any reason for concern at home or elsewhere. This includes awareness of the expression of extremist views.

This course raises awareness of the risks of radicalisation and extremism in various forms and settings. It also covers practical steps that can be taken to recognise and minimise the risk of people becoming radicalised.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding adults

Safeguarding adults is about ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients, but providing additional measures for those least able to protect themselves from harm or abuse.

This course raises awareness of safeguarding adults and the key responsibilities of individuals that work with vulnerable adults, or their families.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding children

Everybody is responsible for the safeguarding of children. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to safeguard children by describing the common types of abuse, how to recognise them, and how to respond to your concerns. It also explains how to correctly report your concerns.

Safeguarding

Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding

The Mental Capacity Act aims to support people who may lack the capacity to understand situations. This course provides you with the knowledge of how and when to make a decision on someone’s behalf through working in a person-centred way.
